About Me

I provide a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

I’m Akhtar, a qualified counsellor based in London, offering therapy for individuals, couples and families.

My approach is person-centred, practical, and tailored to your individual needs, helping clients better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.

How I Work

I use an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing upon different evidence-based methods according to your individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

This may include person-centred therapy, CBT-informed approaches, reflective exploration, and trauma-informed understanding where appropriate.

My focus is on building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and understood.

Who I support

I work with individuals, couples and families experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

Anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties, communication challenges, and life transitions.

What to expect

The first step is an initial contact by phone, email, or contact form. If helpful, you are welcome to arrange a free 15-minute consultation before booking.

In the first session, we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, held weekly or at a pace that feels manageable and appropriate for you.
